Arden Strachn: OMG
Morris Olexy: "Year of our lord" was the common verbiage at the time. Nowadays it's known as the common era, or CE. The prior is a translation of the Latin which we abbreviate as AD. It's a holdover from the Catholic Church. This term was present on virtually all legal documents in that time period and were never meant to be associated with the heritage of the author or the authors nation. It would serve some Christians to get a real education before they spout off ignorance of this sort. It's exactly the same as saying that i am a post meridian because this post is timestamped with P.M....Show more
Myron Leftwich: I think it's referring to the same individual that is printed on our money,"In God We Trust".
Edwina Fu: "How about if he leaves out that FOX news (Glenn Beck's studio) is in Rockefeller center and Governor and Vice President of the USA Nelson Rockefeller, whose family paid for the art, was a lifelong Republican?"He was a Pr! ogressive. Beck, and I, hate progressives.
Norine Lomonte: Very Simply YES!It is becoming easier and easier for the least common denominators in our society to pick out the "BLACK PROPAGANDA."Beck is a graduation from novice to average know nothing, keep educating yourself and asking questions and you will find yourself quite savvy at picking out the better mockingbird agents.Fox is an easy one try CNN MSNBC, CNBC, PBS and of course the BBC!...Show more
Dominic Sciancalepore: Glen Beck is no more a liar than anyone else that speaks publicly. your local news, national news,American version of world news,Rush Limbaugh, etc.rearrange the facts to reinforce the opinion that pays them, all the while, never really telling you what you should know.
Cuc Gire: Ya and Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and George Bush said they were Republicans too now didnt they ? And Obama well Obama attempted to pass himself as Democrat when in reality hes a lying Marxist . Just wolves ! in sheeps clothing id say , just as Rockefeller was.
Bab! ette Deloe: In this day and age, its a wonder that Freash and Easy can't even be sensitive. Does this racism go on anywhere else???
Mayola Sylva: If it doesn't offend me, it shouldn't offend you. Enough of the fake outrage over subjects that don't concern you. No one is asking you liberals to defend them.
Elvin Weichbrodt: I expect them to be as accurate as they were the last several cycles.
Timmy Bustard: What is "sqawbread"? Besides, California still has Squaw Valley.BTW. "sir" - The word 'squaw' is also a derogatory term for a part of a woman's anatomy.
Lana Uliano: They were using the current convention in writing a date. Had they written ACE after the date, no one would have known what they meant. Way to pretend that social convention of the time means we should be a theocracy! How do you deal with John Adams "We are not a Christian nation."?
Randall Twehous: I continuously question why the white house and major media organizations do! n't investigate and dispute what Glenn Beck says. Instead, they attack the person or the organization. Appears that Glenn must be right or the major media would be countering him.
Clare Hoard: It's a simple translation of Ano Domini, In the year of our lord. It has nothing to do with Christian nation, it's just how people dated things back then. Before and after the birth of christ.De facto, we are not as much of a Christian nation as you'd like to think. Many of our founding fathers were non-religious or deists, but to admit that was to ensure that you were shunned. We are still a more Christian nation than much of Western Europe, but we're moving further and further away from that, thank whatever gods may be. =]...Show more
Rachal Osaki: Beck is a con artist, a lunatic, and a shill for whatever puts a few bucks in his pockets. He "leaves out" more facts than he includes. His idiotic "Constitutional" rants are particularly hilarious to those ofus who took exte! nsive law courses, completely fraudulent and erroneous, and downright d! emented. The multi-episode rant that Nazis and Fascists are and were "left wing" and "liberal" was so specious and spurious, it defies description, not to mention the entire body of scholarly, witness, and analyst literature not only disagrees, but paints him as the lying, maggot weasel he is.Diego Rivera was, of course, a die hard Marxist, but he also confined himself in that mural to a "worker's tale" and fussed a great deal to make it acceptable to the capitalists, and Beck's description of the symbols was downright fakery and fraud, full explained in the art literature, which of course, Beck did not even acknowledge. I think Rivera's statement was something like , "To a worker, not every brick need carry the message of the movement!"...He hasn't the credentials to spew his filth, and he has no portfolio. He's never done service of any kind, military or civilian, and his knowledge of most everything is very weak. He barely got out of high school, and while his abilit! y to make up insane interpretations on the fly is kind of startling, his grounding in truth in reality is very weak.In short, he IS a liar. Worse, he's either crazy, or figures he can make lots of money pretending to be nuts. It comes down to the same thing....Show more
Kirk Coolbeth: Anthony, I don't believe the post election results, never mind the pre-election results.
Paul Maymi: Because back then religious freedom meant, If you don't believe in the same thing we do you will be burned at the stake,. The constitution also said" all men are created equal " but slavery was legal. Not a very good question.
Melina Minneweather: I'm more worried about the voting machines.
Antwan Schrum: The election is not a fact until the fat lady sings. Polls can be right and they can be dead wrong. Ever read about the Dewey-Truman debacle?
Dick Maisenbacher: That's not proof of anything, other than that the authors of the Constitution used a dating syste! m in which certain years were noted as "In the year of our Lord" or "An! no Domini". Even most atheists use A.D. to denote years, but that doesn't make them Christians. Now, let's play a little game. Let's assume that we are a Christian nation. No matter how Christian we call ourselves, Congress still can't make laws "respecting an establishment of religion", because that's what the document you're quoting says. How are we supposed to put being a Christian nation into practice if we can't make laws regarding Christianity?...Show more
Filiberto Amauty: No
Sharri Scalley: NO Speculation on poll data is like shooting craps...the pundents and political "analysts" and pollsters all have found a great job...whatever they say or do does not effect their paycheckKinda like Congress except they don't have even produce anything and when they do decide to work manage to to produce themselves a pay raise....Any of us could create analysis and data just by listening to the talk in the local bars but hey -half those guys never make it to the po! lls......Show more
Pearlie Medora: Polls are often wrong. There are so many who knows what to believe. We will find out shortly.
Romana Stiman: Nov 7th is all that matters
Pearlie Medora: Nope, I believe the results at the close of voting day!
King Bringle: The art and its history as reported by him is factual. Obama's administration made calls to art institutes and artists and instructed them to make art that honors him and his socialist policies. What more do you need. We all know where Fox news is located. go to bed.
Sibyl Siwik: NOEDIT: I agree with the first respondant, if you remember my comment to your blog the other day. :)
Monroe Rainey: ask Atheist like Thomas Jefferson
Arlen Decorte: Yes, you are right. Christians covet peoples land, commit genocide on Native Americans, kill Pagans and atheist, Kill homosexuals, Kill communist, support imperialism, embargo Cuba to starve the country because we ! don't like communism, we like our own religious greed capitalism. Lo! rdy lordy lord
Demetrius Coaster: Bravo. Well said. And might we add the last verse of the National Anthem back in... "and this be our motto "In God do we trust". Then and only then, because of that trust, does it say... "and the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave, O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave."
Mahalia Brindle: No, because I've been polled repeatedly, and ALWAYS do my best to screw up their results, and don't let them get away with loaded questions !!
Loise Mausser: Where I live (Alberta), what you call "squawbread" is called by native people "bannock." I make it myself - it's delicious.I don't remember which language, but in some languages, "squaw" simply means "woman." It's only taken on racist overtones in the last century or so when the whites arrived in the West.
Asley Quickle: Glenn Beck does not check on anything...he told The View he was a commentator. When Barbara Walters asked if he check to see if he re! ported facts, he said he reported on life. Beck is a liar and Beck has a mental problem...just listen to the tape below. Hating the survivors of 9/11...then crying when talking about 9/11. And notice how he got the tears. He is a fake, a fraud and a poor excuse for a human being. Google Beck lies on YouTube...Show more
Emile Okafor: Glenn Beck is an entertainer and i enjoy his 1 hr comedy show on Fox News
Davis Zou: Nah. Most times polls are slanted to try to make themselves self-fulfilling prophecies. All too often the people reporting the polls shop around until they find a poll that supports the position they want you to think is going to win so you will fall in with the crowd. It's called "Group-think". It means you agree with the group to fit in or because you feel that since so many people think it it must be true. Be original and independant and think for yourself rather than following the polls like cattle to the slaughter....Show more
James L! angmyer: Polling involves a touch of irony, because the polls try to pr! edict elections, but they don't take into account an important factor--the polls themselves. Polling in the media can sway elections because it energizes voters of the guy who's behind.
Filiberto Ranalli: Nope. Polls are like stocks, or auctions. Don't trust the trend until it's over.
Alecia Kaehler: Yes. Take a look at realclearpolitics.com. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/Very in depth and has far more polls than anyone else. If you doubt the accuracy, check here;http://www.realclearpolitics.com/bush_vs_kerry.htm......Show more
Ervin Overbee: you're entitled on your theory, needless to say. however the belief of evolution makes too a lot experience. It explains why we've appendixes and tailbones that do no longer something interior the well-known human physique. It explains various little imperfections interior the human physique that i might have expected a acceptable writer to have surpassed over, had we actually been crafted by capacity of hand.
!Riley Migl: they were referring to? Or is proof we are and always will be a CHRISTIAN nation?
Brice Greczkowski: Do you think that someone who has the attention of so many viewers is obliged to check facts and admit the whole truth?Example; is it honorable or honest for him to say that the art in Rockefeller center is Communist, that Pres. Obama will use art like that because he is a Communist, and that NBC and MSNBC are in Rockefeller Center and thus probably also Communist? How about if he leaves out that FOX news (Glenn Beck's studio) is in Rockefeller center and Governor and Vice President of the USA Nelson Rockefeller, whose family paid for the art, was a lifelong Republican?...Show more
Cody Petrulis: nope
Robt Heemstra: i dont follow the polish elections....
Luana Carothers:
Nell Dipiero: Did you even see that episode? Jesus...What he was saying is the artwork has some pretty strong Fascist influences, and it does, but the people wh! o commissioned it were unaware of it's themes and the person who create! d it. The point was, you can be influenced by this type of thing without even frigging knowing it. Let's also not forget that the Rockefeller Center was honoring Van Jones when that episode aired. What else do you have that you can completely misinterpret?...Show more
Dorethea Beaston: A christian nation, but the federal government has no power to implement some national religion. Besides not having the power granted to it, to implement a national religion, we went the extra mile to point it out the in the 'idiots guide to rights' (the bill of rights). However, you could argue that each state could establish a state religion, or each city.
Patricia Dornbos: I don't ever fully "believe" polls ever since the 2004 election. Kerry was supposed to win in a landslide.
