how do greenhouse house gasses affect the environment?

Rosalyn Olivera: Greenhouse gases trap thermal radiation emitted by Earth's surface and cause the lower troposphere to heat up, thus keeping the surface environment warm.

Lucille Saetteurn: It traps the heat from the sun, which is why it is called greenhouse gasses. This leads to climate change, sea levels rising, more cyclones, and lots of other changes in weather.

German Thal: There have always been greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, without them earth would be to cold to be inhabited like mars. They allow for uv rays to be trapped and heat the planet. But with excess like we have seen since industrialization they can cause too much heating. Too much heating is bad for the environment, is can cause more severe droughts in already dry areas as well as floods in wet areas. Also they can cause the water in the oceans to expand which would raise the water level as much as a few meters. There is too much to talk about all in one answer but the jist is they create! d the environment and too much will kill it....Show more
