Tooth pain, what can i do?

Tooth pain, what can i do?

answers 0:My wisdom tooth is coming out but because i havent been able to go to the dentist and get it out, i been having alot of pain that even 800mg tylenol cant soothe it, is the left bottom side one and is swollen thats whats causing the pain, any one know what i can take to take the pain away, my appointment isnt until oct...?answers 1:Go to Rite Aid and get some numming medicine. it works good for tooth aches.answers 2:Tell your dentist your situation and see if he can give your something to take in the mean time.answers 3:You might have an infection, and the only way to treat that is with antiobiotics and of course, extraction. You may want to go to a walk in clinic or call your dentist and ask about going on some antibiotics before the appointment, because if you do have an infection, the fastest way for it to s! pread and do horrible damage to your body is if it is in your mouth...more heart problems are caused by poor dental hygiene.answers 4:Eek - if it gets too bad you may need to go to the ER for an emergency extraction... You don't want an abscess/rupture/infection etc... This really isn't anything to fool around with. The swelling makes me nervous, you really may have begun an abscess. You should seek medical attention.answers 5:Wisdom teeth often become impacted. Swelling doesn't necessarily mean it's infected. Clove oil and other topical anesthetics may help a little, but they will not do anything for an infection (if there is one), and will not help much with the pain if it's impacted. You really need to get to the dentist and have it extracted.answers 6:It does sound like it's becoming infected. Wisdom teeth are tricky b/c most of the time there is not enough room in the mouth for them to erupt properly, causing swelling and other symptoms. If you can't pick up some Amb! esol (topical numbing agent) at the Walgreens or Longs, try to! get into your dentist for a quick check. They can take a look and see if it is infected. If it is, they might be able to give you an injection of antibiotics or perform an emergency extraction. If you're getting your extractions done in Oct by an oral surgeon, chances are they're going to put you under gen anesthesia which I HIGHLY recommend. If you're at all awake during this surgery, you will be miserable. There is a lot of tugging, pushing, grinding, etc that you don't want to hear and feel. Overall, get in to see someone and let them know that the pain is getting worse and it is not allowing you to sleep properly. They'll take care of you....answers 7:Hello...Ok, keep on taking a pain control, however you might want to try a different brand, you may find your body reacts to one better than another...try Aleve....also there is an OTC product called "Ora-jel" that can be a great help...just follow the instructions that comes with it. Goof luck and I wish you well.answers! 8:keep your mouth very clean at all times, get a clove and put it on top of the tooth that will keep it from infection and will numb the tooth..
