Online game with strong role-playing community?

Rosella Figliola: Dungeons and dragons online is free to play i think. I'd imagine there is a pretty good roleplaying base there.

Eva Lichlyter: I've read things about Star Wars: The Old Republic being an RPG that leans towards solo play, but also has strong multiplayer elements. It's in early days yet as it has just recently been released, but it has had mixed criticisms. Also, it is apparently quite short on the back-story side of things...sooo, yeh, that's just of the top of my head. Guild Wars 2 is to be released soon also, I think. One-off payment, no monthly fees. Expect lots of expansions like the first. My brother seems smitten with it, lol. :S...Show more

Janean Guz: Most MMOG's normally have Role Playing servers and normally a bunch of them. The problem is finding the balance your looking for. Every one of the servers is going to be different, some will be hard core on the role playing, others will be so relaxed on it that its almost not role playi! ng.Its going to be try and fail to find a server that works for you.As for Free to Play Games there tons out there, However the ones that will give you the best chance of possibly finding what you want are gong to be ones that have been based off of something else. example would be Dungeons and Dragons Online this game is based off of the paper version that was a role playing game. Maybe try Lord of the Rings Online another free to play game, The reason this is a good choice is because it was based off the Tolkien Books and players in the game want to be really immersed in the story. Russel Gajate: Fallen Earth Face of Mankind, because that is totally participant managed. acceptable global must have some solid position playing servers, they are not listed although, verify on the forums.
